Meet The Team
Piero Sansone
Director & Co-Founder
Piero is the Co-Founder and Director of ScaleUp Recruitment, and the engine that keeps the business ticking over. He works closely with technology leaders and technologists across Australia, helping solve genuinely tough hiring challenges while helping people scale up their careers. Known as the problem solver and the person you go to when things need to get done, Piero builds long-term relationships grounded in trust, follow-through, and an obsessive focus on quality. Outside of work, he’s a proud husband to his wife Maisie, first-time dad to his son Rory, an addicted (very avergae) golfer, and competitive by nature, which probably explains why integrity in hiring and doing things properly are non-negotiables for him. If not playing sport he's likely off on an adventure with the family.

Sam Elderfield
Director & Co-Founder
Sam is the Co-Founder of ScaleUp Recruitment and the creative, people-facing force behind the business. As host of the ScaleUp Sound Bytes podcast, he’s deeply curious, full of ideas, and known for turning a quick call into a meaningful conversation, especially when technology is involved. A strong listener who brings energy and momentum, Sam cares deeply about helping clients scale properly, not just quickly. Outside of work, he’s been married to his wife Stef for nearly ten years, is a proud dad to Taj and Lenny, a lifelong learner who loves books, avid surfer tearing up waves any morning he can, and a passionate golfer with a long-standing mission to beat Piero on the course.
Tricia Compra
Technology Recruitment Candidate Manager
Tricia is ScaleUp's Technology Recruitment Candidate Manager and the quiet force that keeps delivery running smoothly. She is deeply focused on candidate experience and is known for genuinely caring about the people she works with, doing everything she can to help them scale their careers with confidence. A huge support to the business, Tricia makes sure everyone has what they need to deliver great outcomes, often without any fuss or fanfare. Outside of work, she’s a passionate traveller who loves exploring new countries, being outdoors, and saying yes to the next adventure, which probably explains her calm, open-minded approach to both life and work.
