This is not a role for everyone.

If you’re content with Selenium scripts and ticking checklists, scroll past. But if you’ve ever thought, “I don’t just want to run tests and use tools for automation testing. I want to build the machine behind them,” then this is your chance.

In most companies, testers are part of the process. They click buttons, check boxes, and wait for someone else to decide what “quality” looks like.

Not here. In this team, testing isn’t the afterthought. It’s the frontline and embedded into their culture. It's innovation. 

Imagine building a simulator for an entire stock exchange, thousands of lines of code that recreate reality so perfectly, developers can battle-test their systems without touching the live markets.

Imagine being the one who questions every assumption, uncovers every edge case, and builds the framework that the entire engineering team depends on.

That’s the role. It’s not QA. It's not just automation testing. It’s engineering with a tester’s heart. And it’s critical.

You'll do things like 

• Engineer the unseen: Create automation testing frameworks and tools that keep real-time, high-frequency systems bulletproof.
• Simulate real-time things: Code test environments so convincing they feel like live exchanges.
• Keep the company in line with global regulators: Automate compliance tests across APAC markets — Korea, India, Australia.

You’re not the tester who waits to be told what to do or relies on tools to get shit done. You build from the ground up and Python (or another language, but ideally Python) is your best friend.

To be successful, you will have the following characteristics & experince to thrive in this role:

• Builds end-to-end frameworks around automation testing instead of relying on them.
• Have the confidence to champion ideas and ask why
• Sees things developers miss and has the confidence to call it out.
• Thrives in Linux, Python, or C++, and loves working close to the metal.
• Believes in the value that the role of engineering a test environment brings to the team and culture of the business
• Have a solid CV that's not filled with buzz words around automation testing - rather it shows experince of building, deploying, and testing end-to-end testing environments and frameworks
• You're not a job hopper 
• Have a solid educational background (degree in Comp. Sci. or similar)

• $160k–$190k base + bonus + super
