Senior/Principal Software Engineer

Their Sydney-based engineering team builds next-generation SaaS platforms and high-performance modelling tools that are used by major financial institutions around the world. They focus on solving complex challenges at scale in highly regulated, high-stakes domains.
  
ABOUT THE ROLE

You’ll join a highly skilled engineering team building the next generation of financial modelling software, working across both desktop and cloud-native applications. This is a hands-on role with significant scope to influence architecture, performance and product direction.

You’ll work across a variety of interconnected systems and products, contributing to high-impact financial modelling software and helping the business tackle complex algorithmic and performance-sensitive challenges.

• Build and enhance cloud-native modelling software used globally
• Architect and implement scalable applications on Azure
• Develop scalable, maintainable solutions with C# and modern testing frameworks
• Contribute to both WPF-based desktop tools and C# & Angular web applications
• Collaborate with architects, UX, product, and engineering teams to make system-wide design decisions
• Engage in AI-related projects, performance optimisation, and language parsing
• Lead design discussions and contribute to cross-team architecture decisions
• Embrace Agile ways of working, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices

  
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years in full stack C# .NET engineering across Desktop and Web
• Strong Azure cloud and SaaS development background
• Experience with scalable, high-performance systems
• Ability to work across teams and communicate with stakeholders
• Solid grasp of clean code, SOLID principles, and system architecture
• Bonus: exposure to GPUs, C++, OpenAI/CoPilot, or WPF
