Are you getting a bit bored and tired of the same old feature development?
The team at ScaleUp has partnered with this business for several years and has seen it grow from humble beginnings into an impressive software consulting business that supports some of the best start-ups, scale-ups and ASX-listed businesses across Australia.
Day to day, the team works to develop quality web applications for their clients all across APAC. You will join a high-performing team building web apps at scale. You'll help other team members upskill on best practices, work with emerging tech, and continue to bulk out your skills as a Ruby on Rails developer.
They look after their staff by providing a safe, fun environment that is diverse, creative and curious. They have a staff retention rate that is creeping up to 4 years +. Voices are heard, ideas are noticed things are created, and products are built and shipped.
If successful, you will join a highly capable team of developers, designers and PMs who love what they do. You will be focusing on building and developing web applications with tools like Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Postgres etc.

Also, the role is predominantly in the office (4 days a week). There is a huge amount of flexibility on offer for it, and the business has a technology-driven culture that is also family-first.

Here’s what’s needed:
- Multiple years of commercial experience building web applications and or sites & the passion to build more.
- Experience with software architecture and cloud technology contributes to technology & conversational sparring.
- Ability to communicate and influence others and help other staff members
- Love and have a passion for web development and technology in general
- Have a curious attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Detailed experience using Ruby on Rails to develop websites/apps
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries, ideally React however angular/vue is also highly regarded as is any advanced knowledge of JS including ES6/7
- Decent skills with HTML/CSS.
- Database such as PostgreSQL
- Portfolio of work that you have worked on that you can run us through or your GitHub account.
- ANY knowledge of cloud deployment with AWS will be highly desired.
