Ready to move beyond basic support? This is your chance to join a global SRE team where you’ll work directly with traders and quants to support a high-stakes, mission-critical environment. Operating in a follow-the-sun global model, you will see first-hand how your system architecture decisions directly impact billions in daily trading and betting volume.
If you are a relentless problem solver who loves getting hands-on with Linux servers, you'll thrive here. You won’t just be triaging tickets; you’ll be deep-diving into complex distributed systems, investigating real production issues, and acting as a key liaison across engineering and trading desks.
This role is ideal for a "tinkerer" who thrives on deep Linux troubleshooting and real-time incident response in a high-intensity, on-premise environment.
What You Will Do
Level 1 & 2 Production Support (Mandatory): Serve as the frontline responder when traders or systems raise issues, investigating and triaging incidents to maintain stability during live trading hours and major sporting events.
Level 3 Involvement (Nice-to-have): Engage in deeper debugging of systemic issues, collaborating with developers on root cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements.
Design and develop Python and Bash scripts to monitor the health, performance, and dependencies of mission-critical systems.
Monitor and support a highly distributed Linux-based trading system to ensure peak performance.
Partner with Platform Engineering on server imaging, testing, deployment, and system configuration.
What's Needed
Strong Linux/Unix Fundamentals (Essential): Deep, hands-on experience with the OS level, processes, and debugging.
Scripting Proficiency: Advanced skills in Python and Bash are required for developing monitoring tools and automation.
Incident Management: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed environments under pressure.
Technical Communication: Ability to translate technical challenges into actionable solutions for traders and engineers.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + super + bonus (Full working rights required).
